Passion for fear is a work in progress, conceived as the second part of a diptych following on from Hello world.
Passion for fear is a performative solo, mixing digital worlds, archives and interactivity, around the conspiracy fictions emanating from social networks, their political component and their consequences on our reality.
The events of 11.09.2001 led many fear-mongers [1], to join forces on the internet to try to explain the inexplicable of this event. Numerous fictions have emerged in a web version, following in the footsteps of old conspiracy narratives. In 2021, the covid crisis has led to the resurgence of new fictions, which in turn has led me to meet groups of fear enthusiasts, whether on Télegram or at events in France and Belgium.
Passion for fear is a proposal to take advantage of the artifices of live art, to collectively understand, share and make visible the mechanisms of these discourses and the capitalist politics of fear that produce them.
It’s an invitation to believe collectively in our capacity to invent, produce and disseminate another fiction.

[1] Here, fear-mongers are all those who, like me, seek answers to their fear of the real world in which they live, on the internet
