with Léo Dupleix
Vincent Glowinski accompanies the Resonant Trees compositions by Léo Dupleix through drawing.
This series of compositions for harpsichord, performed here on a spinet — a small triangular harpsichord — unfolds through haunting melodies embodied within a rich and spellbinding harmonic world, at once austere and luminous.
Vincent comes equipped with a pot of black powder, a white sheet of paper, and a stick for drawing. He then allows himself to be permeated by the musical resonances as he draws.
Projected onto a screen in real time during its creation, the drawing becomes for the audience a visual extension — raw and organic — of the swirling sound textures of the harpsichord.
An immersive and multi-sensory exploration using rudimentary and “low-tech” means: metal, wood, paper, and resonant bodies.
