Born in Reims in 1992 and based in Brussels for the past ten years, Maxime Arnould holds a Master’s degree in Directing from INSAS. Since 2018, they have been creating playful and techno-critical performances ( Hello world in March 2023 and Passion 4 fear in September 2026), while also collaborating with other artists, including Magrit Coulon, Audrey Apers, Romeo Castellucci and Ivana Müller. Their practice spans a variety of forms—performances, videos, publications and public interventions—situated within the field of live arts.
Through their work, Maxime seeks to create, for the duration of a performance, a potentially active community. They position themselves as a user, learning new skills and practices for each project and developing a specific universe around the subject being explored. Their approach resembles a form of craftsmanship, based on the making and repurposing of objects, as well as the archiving of personal materials (objects, videos), which are later activated within the performances.
