Consolate is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans theatre, performance, writing, directing, and artistic activism. Trained at the Royal Conservatory of Mons and based in Brussels, her artistic creations are rooted in her own personal journey.
Consolate, adopted at the age of 7 in Belgium, carries a deep sense of loneliness and unease that make her a “ticking time bomb.”
In 2018, she chose to make interracial adoption the subject of her work, using her personal “I” to highlight the consequences of interracial adoption on the bodies concerned—especially when this topic is not also explored from the perspective of the adoptees themselves. Through this, she hopes to spark a collective shift in perspective, toward a shared “WE.”
"ICIRORI/MIRROR
To face one’s inner pain in order to live with it"
For Consolate, art is much more than creative expression; it is a vehicle for social change that transcends traditional artistic spaces.
After presenting her work in various Belgian theatres (Théâtre des Tanneurs, Théâtre de Liège, Maison de la Culture de Tournai, MARS, Théâtre National de Bruxelles), and at FIND 2025 (Schaubühne Theatre in Berlin), she now aims to fulfill her original objective: to bring her performances into adoption institutions themselves. To center the right of adoptees to truth.

In parallel with her own creations, Consolate has participated in various theatrical and cinematic productions:
Compassion, the History of the Machine Gun by Milo Rau
Maria and the Birds by Cie De Facto
She appears in Alice Khol’s latest short film The Inner Noise of Things.
She regularly continues her artistic development through workshops and research residencies.
